Introduction¶
The plugin-based design of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) allows developers to inject different functional modules into the Web interface. In local multi-agent collaboration scenarios, developers often need to maintain separate room and session management tools. The dsh-groupx plugin solves this fragmentation problem by bridging local GroupX multi-agent rooms into the DSH Web environment, enabling users to view Agent status, access the shared timeline, and send messages to Agents within the unified DSH interface.
Plugin Positioning¶
The plugin is maintained by Harzva and is licensed under the MIT License. It is an independent, non-official DSH integration solution. DSH handles the host and UI, while GroupX retains control over native sessions, SQLite storage, memory, and routing. This plugin does not bundle the GroupX source code, does not upload room data, and does not rewrite Agent CLI configurations.
Core Features¶
- DSH-native tab: Provides a native tab under the
Settings → Plugins → GroupXpath in DeepSeek Harness. - Loopback Host Bridge: Provides a default
http://127.0.0.1:4310Host bridge, supporting Loopback connections only. - Session and Event View: Displays the Agent roster, status, recent semantic events, and the current turn summary.
- Message Routing: Supports explicit single-Agent or multi-Agent message routing via the
to[]parameter. - Security Validation: Strictly rejects sender-spoofing fields and connections from non-Loopback sources.
- Offline Fault Tolerance: DSH can still start safely when GroupX is offline or version-incompatible.
Installation and Enablement¶
- Start GroupX: Ensure the Node.js version meets the requirement (>=24.14.1 <25), then install and start GroupX.
- Build and package the plugin: Clone the repository, install dependencies, check the code, and package it.
- Install it into DSH: Use the CLI command to install the packaged tgz file into the Web Profile.
Typical Usage¶
- Start GroupX:
npm install --global @susyimes/groupx
groupx start --no-open
- Build the DSH plugin package:
git clone https://github.com/Harzva/dsh-groupx.git
cd dsh-groupx
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm check
pnpm run pack:dsh
- Install the plugin into the DSH Web Profile:
dsh plugin --profile web add ./artifacts/harness-flow-dsh-groupx-0.1.0-alpha.0.tgz
- (Optional) Configure a different GroupX port:
$env:DSH_GROUPX_ORIGIN = 'http://127.0.0.1:5000'
dsh web
Notes and Boundaries¶
- Independence and Security: This is an independent, non-official integration. The protocol and DSH offline safety slices have been tested; the live browser E2E test status is Open; SSE recovery/cancel/restart capabilities are Planned.
- Connection Restrictions: Only Loopback connections are allowed. LAN, HTTPS, credential-bearing, and path-bearing origins are rejected.
- Project Boundaries: DSH Web handles display and interaction, while the GroupX Broker handles actual message forwarding and session management.
With this plugin, developers can directly manage local multi-agent collaboration within the DSH interface, achieving a unified toolchain. For more details and source code, visit GitHub.
