Introduction

When developing agents or conducting long conversations with DeepSeek Harness, it is necessary to track token consumption and estimate costs in real time. At the same time, monitoring the official DeepSeek account balance can help avoid service interruptions caused by insufficient credit. The dsh-spend-plus plugin combines these two features and provides an integrated monitoring solution.

Plugin Introduction

This is a DeepSeek Harness plugin maintained by hanjf12 under the MIT license. It merges nonewind/dsh-spend (usage/cost dashboard) and Ghost011118/dsh-balance-meter (balance lookup) into a single plugin.

Core Features

The plugin provides two main display modes:

  1. Bottom-right floating panel: Displays token usage, multi-dimensional statistics, and estimated cost (USD). It supports automatic recognition of peak and off-peak pricing.
  2. Balance chip below the input box: Displays the official DeepSeek account balance (RMB) and the current session cost. It automatically applies peak/off-peak time windows based on Beijing time (09:00–12:00 / 14:00–18:00).

Installation and Enablement

Use the following command to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add git+https://github.com/hanjf12/dsh-spend-plus.git

After installation, restart dsh web and refresh the page.

Dependencies and Configuration

Balance lookup dependency: The balance lookup feature reads DEEPSEEK_API_KEY through the DSH credential seam. This credential must be configured on the Models page of the Web settings. If the key is not configured, the balance chip will show “Unavailable,” but the usage dashboard feature remains unaffected.

Notes

This plugin is based on the integration of two MIT-licensed projects. Before using it, make sure to review the source code and license, and confirm that the plugin runs with the current DSH process permissions.

Summary

This plugin provides developers with complete monitoring capabilities, from usage statistics to balance management. For more details, visit the GitHub repository or the DSH plugin catalog.
