Installation and Enablement

  1. Copy the plugin directory under the node_modules directory of a DSH profile, for example ~/.dsh/profiles/web/node_modules/bing-web-search/.
  2. Insert the following content into the profile’s cordis.patch.yml file to register the plugin:

Configuration

By default, no configuration is required to use Bing search. To use the Tavily service for more accurate results and summaries, configure an API key.

Write the key TAVILY_API_KEY in ~/.dsh/.credentials.yaml.

Timeout and result count
These can be configured via environment variables or the plugin’s config (environment variables take precedence):
* SEARCH_MAX_RESULTS: default 8, number of results returned per request (1–10).
* SEARCH_TAVILY_TIMEOUT_MS: default 15000, Tavily request timeout (milliseconds).
* SEARCH_BING_TIMEOUT_MS: default 20000, Bing request timeout (milliseconds).
