DeepSeek Harness supports plugin-based extensions. When managing task lists and tracking progress while working with agents, users often rely on ad hoc note-taking tools that lack systematic organization and real-time feedback. The gxx950224/quest plugin addresses this issue. It mimics the quest system from World of Warcraft and provides a visual quest panel, kanban board, tracking bar, and deep integration with agents.

Core Features

  • Quest panel and board: Press L or click the scroll button in the bottom-left corner to open the panel. The left side of the panel is the quest board, which supports grouping by category, viewing in-progress/tracked/completed status, and provides statistics and maintenance features.
  • Quest tracking bar: A persistent tracking bar on the right side of the screen displays the progress of tracked quests (e.g., 1/3) and remaining time. Completed tracked quests turn gray and are struck through.
  • Quest maintenance: Supports creating, editing, deleting, completing, and abandoning quests, as well as category management. Target progress can be adjusted manually.
  • Recurrence and reminders: Supports daily/weekly recurring quests. A browser Notification reminder is triggered 30 minutes before due or when already due.
  • Agent tools: Provides tools such as quest_add, quest_update, quest_complete, quest_progress, quest_list, and quest_search, allowing direct quest operations through conversation.
  • Visual style: Uses a World of Warcraft quest aesthetic, including difficulty levels (1-5, corresponding to gray/green/yellow/orange/red) and a dark-gold parchment color scheme.
  • Data persistence: Quest data is stored in ~/.dsh/quest-state.json.

Installation and Activation

cd ~/.dsh/profiles/web
pnpm add @ggame/quest
  1. Edit package.json and append "@ggame/quest" to the dsh.profile.bundles array (preserve existing items).
  2. Edit cordis.patch.yml and append the following to the end:
   - id: quest
     config: {}
  1. Run pnpm install.
  2. Restart dsh web.

Typical Usage

  • Open/close panel: Press L or click the scroll button in the bottom-left corner.
  • Create new quest: Click “+ New Quest” on the quest board.
  • Agent integration: Enter commands in the conversation, such as “Record XXX as a quest” or “Mark XXX as completed.”
