DeepSeek Harness (DSH) aims to extend an agent’s capabilities through plugins. When managing an agent on mobile or handling ad hoc tasks, interacting directly with the web UI or command line is often inconvenient. The dsh-mobile-remote plugin turns WeChat on your phone into a console, allowing you to control a locally running DSH Agent via WeChat commands in any network environment.

Plugin Overview

The plugin is named dsh-mobile-remote and is maintained by developer good-boy4069. It is based on the Tencent iLink SDK protocol and implements remote WeChat control for DSH Agent. Its core value lies in using long polling to achieve fully outbound communication, without relying on third-party WeChat APIs, and it can operate over any network (such as 4G or WiFi).

Core Features

  • Bidirectional file transfer: Supports downloading and sending files, and can automatically decrypt images and videos.
  • Proactive notifications: Provides the weixin_send tool, supporting text and file sending; supports sending notifications when a task completes.
  • Multi-session remote control: Supports listing sessions and switching sessions.
  • Protocol alignment: Strictly follows the protocol details of Tencent iLink SDK v2.4.6.
  • Observability: Provides a /health endpoint and status bar to display runtime status.
  • Login method: Supports QR code login.
  • Permission control: Provides a full-permission mode, with boundaries determined by the whitelist.

Installation and Activation

Use the following command to install the plugin into the web configuration file:

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-mobile-remote

After installation, start or restart the dsh web service:

dsh web

Common Usage

  1. Login: Open http://127.0.0.1:3080/mobile-remote-weixin/login in a browser (on the current machine) and scan the QR code to bind WeChat.
  2. Command operations: After logging in, send the following commands via WeChat:
    • View status and workspace: /status, /workspace
    • Manage sessions: /new (unbind current), /sessions (list), /switch <number-or-title> (switch)
    • Control tasks: /stop (stop), /reply <text> (continue reply)
    • File operations: /ls [path] (list directory), /send <file-path> (send file)
  3. File sending: Insert [[send-file:path]] in the model’s reply to trigger file sending.

Notes

  • Message transport: Messages are relayed through Tencent iLink servers (WeChat does not provide third-party APIs itself), so they are not end-to-end encrypted.
  • Voice messages: Voice messages are rejected and are neither stored nor transcribed.
  • Permission boundary: In full-permission mode, the boundary is determined only by the whitelist; add only your own WeChat account.
  • Login restriction: The login page is accessible only via loopback address.
  • Log file: The plugin provides a gateway.log log file with 1MB log rotation.
  • Health check: The /health endpoint only returns allowed fields and does not leak internal identifiers.

Conclusion

This plugin provides a convenient mobile entry point for controlling DSH. With WeChat, you can manage agent tasks and files in any network environment. For more details, see the GitHub repository.
