Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture and provides developers with a path to extend its capabilities. In agent development and toolchain construction, presentation generation is a common requirement. Traditional approaches often rely on external tools or generate static PDFs, lacking interactivity and flexibility. This plugin ports a mature HTML slide solution into a DSH plugin, providing zero-dependency, animation-rich, and offline-capable presentation features.

What It Is

dsh-frontend-slides is a DeepSeek Harness plugin maintained by GongYuanCaiJi. It is a zero-dependency HTML slide skill package whose core function is to transform presentations into browser-native 16:9 stages, while also supporting conversion of PPT/PPTX files into web pages. The plugin is a verbatim port of the upstream frontend-slides project.

Core Features

The plugin includes the following core components and capabilities:

  1. Frontend presentation skill: the core skill frontend-slides (SKILL.md, 380 lines), which provides zero-dependency, animation-rich, and offline-capable HTML presentation generation.
  2. Design resources: includes style presets (STYLE_PRESETS.md), animation patterns (animation-patterns.md), HTML templates (html-template.md), and basic viewport styles (viewport-base.css).
  3. Template library: ships with 34 Bold templates under the bold-template-pack/ directory. Each template includes design.md and preview.md, allowing you to preview a small card first before loading the full design.
  4. PPT conversion: provides scripts for extracting PPTX files into editable web slides, as well as PDF export and deployment scripts (extract-pptx.py, export-pdf.sh, deploy.sh).
  5. Verifiable verbatim port: all 79 skill files are byte-for-byte identical to upstream v2.1.0, with hash values pinned in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for verification.
  6. On-demand loading: the Catalog exposes only names and descriptions; skill content is read only when the model actually invokes it, so it does not consume startup time.

Installation and Enablement

Use the official installation command to add the plugin. The installation process checks the correctness of the plugin structure.

dsh plugin --profile <name> add github:GongYuanCaiJi/dsh-frontend-slides

This plugin has no runtime dependencies, but it includes a prepare shape-checking script. If pnpm prompts you about an allowBuilds whitelist issue during installation, please allow it as prompted.

Typical Usage

After installation, the model can see the skill Catalog in the session. When a task matches, the model automatically loads the skill content. Users can also invoke it explicitly by adding the /frontend-slides prefix before the input content.

Notes

  • Permissions and runtime environment: the plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Before use, it is recommended to review the source code and license (MIT).
  • Verification: if you need to confirm file integrity, refer to the hash verification commands in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
  • Porting notes: this plugin retains only the actually published skill content of the upstream plugin (79 files) and does not include the development copies in the root directory.

Summary

dsh-frontend-slides provides a complete presentation solution for the DSH ecosystem. Through a zero-dependency HTML skill package, combined with a rich template library and PPT conversion capabilities, it lowers the barrier for agents to generate presentations.
