Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) enables extending agent capabilities through plugins. When developers use agents to process content, they often need to invoke tools with specific functions (such as generating illustrations, publishing to social media, and converting formats). The dsh-baoyu-skills plugin aims to solve this problem. It ports Baoyu’s 21 daily productivity AI skills to the DSH environment, allowing agents to automatically invoke these skills on demand.

Plugin Overview

This plugin is maintained by GongYuanCaiJi under the MIT license. It fully ports the 21 skills from the Baoyu skill library (originally JimLiu/baoyu-skills) to DeepSeek Harness. The 916 files in the upstream git tree are copied under a verbatim retention rule, with only minimal wrapping changes made to allow DSH to load them.

Core Features

The plugin includes the following feature categories:

  • Content Generation: Supports generating article illustrations, cover images, comics, infographics, Xiaohongshu image cards, and slide images.
  • Content Processing: Provides Markdown formatting, Markdown to WeChat HTML conversion, translation, URL/tweet to Markdown conversion, and YouTube subtitle downloading.
  • Content Publishing: Supports publishing content to WeChat Official Accounts, Weibo, and X/Twitter, as well as creating highlight summaries of WeChat group chats.
  • Utilities: Includes image compression, chart drawing, Electron application resource extraction, multi-backend AI image generation integration, and Gemini Web reverse proxy.
  • Automatic Discovery: After installation, skills appear in DSH’s catalog, and agents can automatically match and invoke them based on descriptions.

Installation and Activation

This plugin has not been published to npm yet and needs to be installed from GitHub or a local path.

Install from GitHub:

Install from a local directory:

Typical Usage

After installation, no additional configuration is required. You can simply submit requests directly to the agent. For example:

  • “Organize this Markdown into an Official Account article and publish it”
  • “Add three illustrations to this article”
  • “Translate this text into English with a refined translation”
  • “Download the subtitles for this YouTube video”

The agent will automatically select and execute the corresponding skill.

Notes

  1. Skill Content: All skill content is retained according to a “100% verbatim copy” rule, preserving the original upstream English text without translation.
  2. Credential Configuration: Skills that require login or credentials (such as publishing or browser skills) will guide you through configuration on first run. Credentials are typically stored in ~/.baoyu-skills/.env or a project-level .baoyu-skills/.env.
  3. Runtime Environment: Skill content must run under the permissions of the DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installation.
