DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture and extends functionality by registering bundles. In scenarios involving agent development or frequent use of specific prompts, managing these prompts calls for a convenient tool. The dsh-prompt-vault plugin provides DSH with a prompt library above the input box, inspired by voyager’s Prompt Vault.
Plugin Overview¶
- Name:
dsh-prompt-vault - Author: Frog755
- License: MIT
- Core Value: A prompt library above the DSH input box (inspired by voyager’s Prompt Vault).
Installation and Activation¶
Before installing, make sure your environment meets the following requirements:
* DeepSeek Harness is installed (dsh web runs normally).
* Node.js version ≥ 20.
Use the official installation command to add the plugin:
npx -y --package @deepseek-ai/dsh dsh plugin --profile web add @frog755/dsh-prompt-vault
This command automatically completes dependency registration, identifies the dsh.bundle.patch (cordis.patch.yml) inside the package, and registers it in the dsh.profile.bundles mount.
After installation, hard refresh the page in your browser (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R). You will then see the 📚 button in the input box toolbar.
Core Features¶
-
📚 Button
Click the 📚 button on the left side of the input box toolbar. The panel expands above the input box and displays the Prompt list. -
Display and Insertion
- By default, the panel only shows the topic name + first-line preview.
- Click an entry: The entire content is inserted into the input box. If the input box already has a draft, the content is appended automatically and does not overwrite existing content.
-
Content Management
- Click an entry to expand and view the full content.
- Supports create, edit, and delete operations (deletion requires secondary confirmation).
- Supports searching.
-
Initial Content
On first use, it includes two sample prompts (code review / Chinese-English translation), which users can freely edit or delete.
Data Management¶
- Default Path:
~/.dsh/prompt-library.json - Custom Path: The default path can be overridden using the environment variable
DSH_PROMPT_VAULT_FILE.
Data file format example:
{
"version": 1,
"items": [
{
"id": "uuid",
"title": "主题名",
"content": "完整内容...",
"createdAt": "timestamp",
"updatedAt": "timestamp"
}
]
}
Notes¶
- Hot Reloading: Client-side changes (such as
src/client.js) take effect without restarting DSH; host-side changes (such assrc/index.js) require a restart. - Data Preservation: When uninstalling the plugin, the
~/.dsh/prompt-library.jsondata file is retained.
Conclusion¶
The plugin is distributed as an npm package and does not modify the DSH source code. Developers can use it to quickly manage frequently used prompts and improve efficiency. For more details, see the GitHub repository.
