Introduction¶
The Web settings interface of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) currently hides archived sessions, and the official RPC only exposes archiveSession, lacking interfaces for unarchiving or deletion. As a result, archived conversations cannot be managed or restored. The dsh-archive-viewer plugin fills this missing capability in the Web interface.
Plugin Introduction¶
This is a DeepSeek Harness plugin, maintained by DimitriLIAN and categorized as “Memory”. It adds an “Archived sessions” page in the Web settings, allowing users to view, restore, and delete archived conversations.
Core Features¶
- New page: Adds an “Archived sessions” page to the Web settings.
- Session list: Lists all archived conversations grouped by folder.
- Restore session: Restores an archived session with one click, removing it from the global archive set and making it reappear in the sidebar.
- Delete session: Removes a stored session log permanently with a two-step confirmation.
- Architectural features:
- Does not modify the DSH core.
- The host side registers two REST endpoints on
ctx.webServer:/api2/archive/unarchiveand/api2/archive/delete. - The browser side uses standard
useSessionsanduseWorkspacesslots to render the list.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing the plugin requires specifying the Web profile:
dsh plugin add --profile web github:DimitriLIAN/dsh-archive-viewer
After installation, restart the Web profile to load the plugin:
dsh --profile web
After the restart, open Settings → Archived sessions in the Web interface to view, restore, or delete archived sessions.
Notes¶
- Permission scope: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process, so make sure you trust the plugin source.
- Restoration mechanism: Restoring a session clears the session ID record from the registration archive set, causing it to reappear in the sidebar.
- Deletion is irreversible: Deleting a session permanently removes the session log and cannot be undone.
- Timing of deletion: After deletion, the archive list immediately removes the entry, but the session list in the sidebar and the workspace’s
sessionIdsslot are fully cleaned up on the next DSH restart. - Internal call: The host side performs the restore operation by calling the private method
workspaceRegistry.setState, which is visible at runtime.
Summary¶
dsh-archive-viewer addresses the pain point that the DSH Web interface cannot manage archived sessions. Through REST endpoints and standard UI slots, it provides secure and controllable management capabilities for archived sessions. The plugin is open source under the MIT License and can be obtained directly via GitHub or the Skill Center catalog.
