Introduction

The Web Profile sidebar of DeepSeek Harness currently supports only workspaces and conversation lists. As the number of conversations grows, finding a specific conversation can become difficult. This plugin addresses the issue by introducing a folder hierarchy, enabling nested management of Project → Folder → Conversation.

Core Features

  1. Folder Management: create, rename, and delete folders.
  2. Conversation Management: rename conversations, and move conversations into or out of folders.
  3. Content Search: search conversations by message content using the search box at the top of the sidebar.
  4. Conversation Archiving: archive conversations (logs are retained, but the conversations are hidden from the sidebar).

Installation and Activation

The installation command is as follows:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-conversation-folders

This command installs the plugin to ~/.dsh/profiles/web/node_modules/ and automatically adds it to dsh.profile.bundles. It takes effect after restarting DSH.

Note: The plugin depends on peerDependencies version >=0.1.0-rc.5. If your DSH version is different, you may need to adjust it.

Data Model

The plugin uses the convfolders domain for data persistence. Each record is stored in a folder with the following structure:

{
  "id": "f-<id>",
  "workspaceId": "<workspace uuid>",
  "title": "UI",
  "sessionIds": ["session-…"],
  "createdAt": "ISO-8601",
  "updatedAt": "ISO-8601"
}

Known Limitations

  1. Sidebar Takeover: This plugin takes over the native sidebar.workspaces, so the native workspace Fork, creation, deletion, and reordering features are not replicated.
  2. No Archived Recovery Entry: This plugin only provides archiving (hiding) functionality, without an archived view or recovery entry. To restore archived conversations, please use another archive management plugin.
  3. RPC Approach: Compared with the standard @Remote RPC, this solution uses a bare HTTP route POST /folders-rpc, which lacks wire schema validation. This was done to keep the implementation as simple as possible.
  4. Version Dependency: peerDependencies uses >=0.1.0-rc.5.

Conclusion

This plugin provides DSH users with the ability to embed a folder hierarchy in the sidebar. It is suitable for users who need to manually organize a large number of conversations. Please inspect the source code and license before installation.
