DeepSeek Harness (dsh) is a plugin-based application. The default interface is in Simplified Chinese. For teams or individuals accustomed to the wording conventionally used in Taiwan, terminology differences in the interface (for example, the different wording used in Taiwan for concepts such as “settings” and “agent”) require extra conversion effort. The dsh-zh-hant-tw plugin adds a “Traditional Chinese” option to the official language menu, converts interface text to Taiwan-localized terms, and keeps product terminology in English.

Core Features

  • New language menu option: Adds a “Traditional Chinese” option to the official DeepSeek Harness language menu.
  • Automatic persistence: After selecting this language, the language preference is automatically written to settings.yaml and remains effective after dsh is restarted.
  • Taiwan-localized terminology: Applies a glossary of approximately 90 localized terms used in Taiwan (for example, terms related to Settings, Agent, Save, Search, Software, File, Build, and Cache).
  • Retained product terminology: Product-related terms remain in English (such as Full access, Agent, skill, Think, plan mode, API Key).
  • Interface-only conversion: Does not rewrite user message content; only converts UI chrome.

Install and Enable

Install the plugin through the official CLI:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:chiyulogg-commits/dsh-zh-hant-tw

After installation, refresh the dsh web interface, then go to Settings → Language → Traditional Chinese to switch.

Remove Plugin

To remove this plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-zh-hant-tw

Notes

  • No longer maintained: This project is a one-time release and is no longer maintained (as-is).
  • Derived work: Derived from dsh-zh-hant-hk, with the glossary adjusted to terminology used in Taiwan.
  • Scope: Only interface text is converted; user message content is not modified.
