Introduction¶
In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) workflow, a plugin-based architecture is a core design concept. When facing vague requirements or implicit assumptions, prompt optimization alone often cannot fundamentally resolve unstable output quality. The boomzikazita/dsh-spec-gate plugin draws on the idea of Ouroboros and introduces an “interview gate” and an “acceptance gate” into the DSH workflow. Its purpose is to converge on requirements before work begins through Socratic questioning, lock immutable specifications, and reject drafts that do not meet the required standards before delivery.
Plugin Positioning¶
dsh-spec-gate is a specification-gate plugin. It turns vague requirements into verifiable specifications and prevents deliverables from drifting away from their intended goals. This plugin is maintained by boomzikazita, belongs to the “workflow” category, and is released under the MIT license.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides three core capabilities, corresponding to requirement clarification, specification locking, and delivery acceptance.
-
Ambiguity Interview Assessment (
spec_interview_assess)
It scores requirements across 8 dimensions for ambiguity. These 8 dimensions include audience, purpose, format, data, scope, tone, acceptance criteria, and deadline. This step exposes hidden assumptions and returns scores along with questions that need to be asked. -
Specification Seed Construction (
spec_seed_build)
After the interview converges, it locks an immutable Seed. A Seed contains the goal, dimensions, acceptance criteria, and constraints. It is indexed by a hash key and cannot be overwritten once constructed. -
Pre-Delivery Acceptance Gate (
spec_gate_evaluate)
It performs mechanical checks on a draft before delivery. It validates the draft based on the Seed and acceptance criteria, ensuring that only passing drafts can be handed off.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installation requires the DSH plugin command.
dsh plugin --profile web add github:boomzikazita/dsh-spec-gate
After enabling the plugin, directory paths and thresholds need to be specified in the configuration file.
# cordis.patch.yml (或插件的 bundle patch)
- insert:
- id: spec-gate
name: 'dsh-spec-gate'
config:
seedsDir: '~/.dsh/spec-gate/seeds'
eventsLog: '~/.dsh/spec-gate/events.jsonl'
convergeThreshold: 0.2
hardGate: false
seedsDir: Stores the locked Seed files.eventsLog: Records acceptance failure events for later analysis.convergeThreshold: Convergence threshold for ambiguity scores; setting it to 0.2 means the score must be below this value to pass the interview.hardGate: Controls whether write/edit operations should be blocked before a Seed exists (defaults to false).
Typical Usage¶
Using this plugin usually follows a “clarify - lock - generate - verify” process.
- Clarify Requirements: When a vague requirement arrives, run
spec_interview_assess. Based on the returned scores and questions, continue asking until the ambiguity score drops below0.2. - Lock the Specification: Run
spec_seed_build. Aseed_idis generated and the specification is locked. - Generate the Deliverable: Generate a draft based on the locked Seed.
- Acceptance Verification: Run
spec_gate_evaluate(draft, seed_id). Only after the checks pass should the manual handoff proceed.
Ecosystem Collaboration and Notes¶
This plugin works together with dsh-cybernetics. Acceptance failures are written to the event log and used as feedback data in a cybernetic feedback loop, continuously improving the workflow.
Because DSH community catalogs (such as SkillHub) have no official affiliation with DeepSeek or Huanfang, you should review the source code and license before using the plugin.
Summary¶
dsh-spec-gate provides a complete closed loop from requirement clarification to delivery acceptance. By quantifying ambiguity, locking specifications, and performing mechanical checks, it reduces delivery risk. The full source code and documentation are available in its GitHub repository.
