Managing scheduled tasks directly in the DSH Web GUI is a common requirement for agent developers. Existing crontab management usually requires manually editing files, which is cumbersome and error-prone. The dsh-cron-panel plugin provides a visual panel, integrated directly into the sidebar, for uniformly managing DSH scheduled tasks and the system crontab.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-cron-panel is a client-side plugin for the DSH Web GUI, maintained by user a792883583. It is located below the workspace and above Settings in the sidebar, primarily addressing the need to view and manage DSH scheduled tasks and the system crontab in separate sections within the Web interface.
Core Features¶
- Sidebar panel: An “Add” button is available on the right side of the panel title. The panel can be collapsed, and when collapsed it displays as a small title bar.
- Separated display and status: DSH scheduled tasks and the system
crontabare displayed separately. List items include a dot indicating execution status (success / failure / not executed). - Natural-language creation: Supports entering common natural language, which is automatically parsed into a cron expression (Chinese and English, 17+ common patterns). Manual entry is also supported.
- Full-screen details and editing: Clicking a task opens a full-screen overlay over the editing area, supporting edit, save, delete, start, and stop operations.
- Next-run preview: While editing, entering a cron expression automatically displays the next 5 scheduled run times.
- Agent prompt automation: Supports one-click switching to Agent mode, automatically starting a background session to execute the prompt.
- Execution and notifications: Supports “Run Now” for direct task execution. Also supports pushing results to Telegram, Discord, WeCom, or email after completion.
- Fault tolerance and backup: Supports automatic retries on failure (configurable count and interval). Before each
crontabmodification, it automatically backs up to~/.local/share/dsh-cron-backups/(keeping the latest 20 backups). - Adaptability: Automatically follows the DSH interface language; supports light and dark themes; includes compatibility handling for Windows environments.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install using the official plugin manager:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-cron-panel
After installation, restart the dsh web service to see the panel in the sidebar.
Typical Usage¶
- Quick creation: Enter “Run backup every day at 9:00 AM” in the panel, and the system automatically parses it into a cron expression.
- Verify execution: After creating a new task, click “Run Now” to check the output and exit code, then wait for scheduled execution once confirmed.
- Automated notifications: Configure “Notify after completion” to automatically push results to Telegram, Discord, WeCom, or email (requires
dsh-message-gatewayto be connected).
Notes¶
- Pushing to WeCom or group chats requires installing and connecting
dsh-message-gatewayfirst. - QQ does not officially support active push notifications.
- Be sure to restart
dsh webafter installation.
