Preface

The DeepSeek Harness WeChat Connector plugin is a client-side plugin used to connect a WeChat account to DeepSeek Harness. The plugin runs inside the Host process of dsh web: the settings page is responsible only for displaying the one-time QR code and masked status. The bot_token obtained from scanning is written directly to the Harness credential service, and the Host then receives messages via long polling through the Tencent iLink Bot API and sends answers back to WeChat. The plugin is maintained by 1841220388zzzcccxxx-star and is licensed under the MIT license.

Prerequisites

Before use, the following environment requirements must be met:
* DeepSeek Harness version: 0.1.0-rc.6
* Node.js version: >=22.19
* The phone WeChat account must have the bot feature enabled (Tencent is rolling out access in batches. If the related entry has not yet appeared in WeChat, first check “Me → Settings → Plugins”. This feature is being opened by Tencent in batches, and the plugin code cannot bypass the account-side access scope)
* The device running Harness must be able to access *.weixin.qq.com

Installation and QR Code Binding

  1. Run the installation command:
npx -y github:1841220388zzzcccxxx-star/dsh-wechat install
  1. Restart dsh web.
  2. Open “Settings → Plugins → WeChat”.
  3. Click “Scan to Bind WeChat”.
  4. Use the WeChat app on your phone to scan the QR code on the page, then confirm the binding on the phone.
  5. If a pairing number is displayed on the phone, enter that number on the Harness page.

After a successful scan, all of the following conditions must be met before the page can show an online status:
1. Tencent iLink returns the bot_token, bot account ID, scanning user ID, and message API endpoint.
2. The bot_token has been written to the Harness Host credential service.
3. The non-sensitive account configuration has been saved atomically.
4. WeChat notifystart validation passes and getupdates long polling starts.
5. The plugin can access the current Harness Host.

You can scan repeatedly to add multiple WeChat accounts. Each account has independent credential references, long polling, sync cursors, message deduplication records, and Harness session mappings. Reconnecting or removing one account will not affect other accounts.

Core Features

  • Message Support: Supports text messages and voice messages with WeChat-provided transcription results. Currently, images, files, videos, and voice messages without transcription are not supported.
  • Multi-Account Isolation: Supports adding multiple WeChat accounts. Each account has independent credential references, long polling, sync cursors, message deduplication records, and Harness session mappings. Reconnecting or removing one account will not affect other accounts.
  • Security Design: The browser will never receive or submit the bot_token, QR code internal tokens, scanning user ID, or credential references. The bot_token is stored only in the Harness Host credential service. The WeChat message API endpoint must be https://weixin.qq.com or a subdomain, and may only use the default HTTPS port.

Message Interaction

After successful QR code binding, you can send the following commands to the bound bot in WeChat:
* /new: Clear the current session mapping.
* /status: Check the connection status.
* /help: Display help information.

When a Harness answer is long, it will be split into multiple WeChat text messages. Each message reuses the context_token of the incoming message.

Local Verification

After installing from source, local verification can be performed:

npm run check

This command runs tests and checks the package structure. If you only need to verify compatibility with the Tencent QR code endpoint, run:

npm run verify:protocol

Notes

  • Message Scope: Only accepts private chat messages sent by the scanning user who confirmed the QR code. Other users are rejected by default.
  • Runtime Environment: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current Harness Host process. Please check the source code and license before installation.
  • Protocol Limitations: The WeChat message API endpoint must be https://weixin.qq.com or a subdomain, and may only use the default HTTPS port.
