Introduction¶
After installing plugins in DeepSeek Harness, the settings sidebar becomes longer as the number of plugins increases, with each plugin adding a separate navigation entry. This makes the panel feel cluttered and makes it hard to quickly locate core settings. dsh-settings-nav-organizer is designed to address this problem. It collapses third-party plugin and extension entries into a single collapsible group, and provides bookmark-style custom grouping, quick search, scrollable navigation, and AI-powered automatic categorization to keep the settings panel tidy.
Core Features¶
- Collapse plugin entries: Consolidates all plugin and extension entries into a single group row named
Plugin entries (N) ▾, while official system settings (General, Models, Plugins, Agent presets) remain flat at the top. - Quick search: Adds a search box at the top of the navigation bar. Enter a keyword to filter entry names and plugin IDs in real time; matching items are highlighted and the corresponding group is expanded automatically.
- Scrollable navigation: When there are too many entries, the sidebar supports scrolling to avoid clipped entries or missing scrollbars.
- Collapse toggle: Provides a toggle on the “Group Management” page to enable or disable collapsing with one click.
- Bookmark-style custom groups: Supports creating named groups to manage entries like bookmark folders, and independently expands or collapses them in navigation.
- Persistent configuration: Stores group configuration and collapse toggle state in
localStorageso settings are retained after restart. - Automatic updates: Recalculates entry counts and collapse positions in real time based on the
settings.sectionledger; navigation updates automatically when plugins register or unregister settings pages. - Current section stays visible: Even when collapsed, the currently active page entry remains visible.
- AI automatic categorization: Supports enabling AI-powered automatic categorization mode, allowing plugins to be categorized based on market categories, local rules, or an AI model.
- Simplified AI model configuration: Provides a preset model dropdown (DeepSeek, OpenAI, Qwen, etc.), auto-fills the API URL, and supports configuration testing and automatic saving.
- Idle plugin auto-pruning: Scans plugin tool-call history, marks plugins that exceed the idle threshold (default 30 days), and supports one-click cleanup.
- Localization support: Displays according to the UI language (Chinese/English).

Plugin entriesor a custom group) to expand or collapse the entries beneath it. - Create a group: On the “Group Management” page, enter a group name and click “New Group”.
- Move entries: In the “Ungrouped” area, use the dropdown menu to select a target group and move the entry into it. Click “Rename” or “Delete” in the upper-right corner of a group name to manage the group (deleting a group moves its entries back to the ungrouped area).
Advanced Configuration¶
- AI automatic categorization:
On the “Group Management” page, enable the “Automatic categorization” toggle. Click the configuration area, select a model from the preset model dropdown (for example, DeepSeek), and enter the API key and URL. Click “Test Configuration” to validate the connection, then click “Categorize ungrouped plugins”. The system will classify plugins using market classification tags, local heuristic rules, and the AI model in sequence. - Idle plugin pruning:
On the “Group Management” page, enable the “Idle plugin auto-pruning” toggle. The plugin scans each plugin’s tool-call history. The default threshold is 30 days, and the list of plugins marked as idle can be viewed here. After confirming, click the cleanup button to remove them.
