During the development and debugging process of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), the conversation window is often filled with a large amount of thinking processes, tool call details, and context injection information. While these details are useful for debugging, they can create visual clutter when reviewing the final result. The dsh-result-only-view plugin uses a toggle to simplify the interface so that only user messages and final replies are retained, while preserving necessary interaction entry points.

Plugin Purpose

This is a “result-only” toggle plugin for the DeepSeek Harness Web GUI, maintained by YEYEYEYESHIFU. The core problem it addresses is: how to hide intermediate thinking chains, tool calls, and context injection lines when reviewing agent execution results, making the interface cleaner.

Core Features

This plugin provides the following features:

  • Collapsing process lines: By default, thinking, tool call, and context injection lines are collapsed.
  • Runtime status: While an agent is running, a real-time status line is displayed (including the tool name, parameter hints, or the latest thinking line). Clicking the line expands the details.
  • Turn tracking: After a turn ends, a tracking line shows “Processed N steps · Xs ▸”. Clicking the line expands or collapses the process lines for that turn.
  • Whitelist mechanism: The ask_user_question and cordis_run interaction cards are always visible and are not hidden.
  • Settings options: In settings, you can control trace line display, animation effects, and collapse mode (automatic/manual).

Installation and Enabling

Install the plugin via the DSH client:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-result-only-view

After running the above command, restart dsh web to make it take effect. To uninstall, use dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-result-only-view and restart.

Typical Usage

  1. Enable the view: Turn on the “Results Only” toggle in the DSH Web interface. The interface will automatically hide intermediate process lines and retain only user messages and final replies.
  2. View details: While an agent is running, click the real-time status chip to expand a specific step; after a turn ends, click the tracking line to expand the process for that turn.
  3. Collapse control: In settings, select automatic collapse or manual collapse mode.

Use Cases and Notes

  • Permission scope: This plugin is pure client-side, makes no network requests, and does not access the file system or credentials. It only reads and writes localStorage and only reads the conversation DOM; it does not modify the product DOM structure.
  • Compatibility: If DSH changes DOM attributes, the plugin gracefully degrades (i.e., stops hiding). It provides a CSS fallback for browsers that do not support :has().
  • Security recommendation: Before installing the plugin, it is recommended to review the source code and license (MIT).

The plugin uses a minimalist interface design to help developers focus on the results themselves rather than complex intermediate processes, improving review efficiency.
