Preface¶
The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” As the ecosystem expands, developers need to find suitable tools within a large collection of repositories. dsh-weekly-hot is a DSH Web UI plugin designed for this purpose. It does not rely on a backend server; instead, it directly connects to the GitHub API from the browser to generate a “Rising Trending List” and a “Curated Topics List”. It is maintained by XCNXNXNX and follows the BSD-3-Clause license.
Features¶
Entry Point and Pop-up¶
The plugin provides a floating button on the right edge of the DSH Web UI (displaying “🔥 This Week’s Hot Plugins” by default). Clicking it opens the panel. This entry point can be disabled in panel settings or main settings.
The panel supports scheduled pop-ups. Users can choose to disable it, or set the pop-up interval to daily, weekly, biweekly, or a custom number of minutes. Opening the panel manually resets the timer.
List Logic¶
The plugin provides two ways to generate lists:
- Rising Trending List: Uses the GitHub Search API to search all repositories with
topic:dsh-plugin. Growth values are calculated from the difference against a baseline recorded inlocalStorage(on the first visit with no baseline, values are estimated based on recent activity and marked as “estimated”). The algorithm applies weighting to new repositories and push activity within the last 30 days. - Curated Topics List: Parses community curated lists such as
awesome-dsh-pluginandOh-My-DSH, and groups the results by topic tags (such as #UI, #tools, or #workflow).
Cards and Installation¶
The lists display plugin information in card format, including the name, GitHub link, first-sentence description from the README, Topics tags, star count, and growth count.
Cards provide a “one-click install” feature. After clicking, the browser sends a POST request to the host-side /api/dsh-weekly-hot/install endpoint. Upon receiving it, the host executes dsh plugin --profile web add github:<owner>/<repo>. If installation fails, error details are displayed.
Stability and Caching¶
To handle GitHub API rate limiting, the plugin includes comprehensive fallback handling. When rate limiting is triggered, it no longer displays English errors; instead, it shows a countdown and automatically retries when the quota recovers. If a cache exists, it displays the cached data directly.
Caching strategy is layered:
* Search results are cached for 1 hour
* Curated lists are cached for 6 hours
* README and package validation are cached for 24 hours
In addition, the plugin validates the dsh field in package.json, marks the validation status on the card, and excludes DeepSeek official core repositories.
Installation¶
Install using the official CLI:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-weekly-hot
After installation, restart dsh web for changes to take effect.
Configuration¶
The plugin includes a config.json in its distribution, and supports modification via file or panel settings.
List configuration: Configure the time window (7/30/90 days), minimum star count, and list length for the Rising Trending List; configure the topic list and quantity per topic for the Curated Topics List.
Data sources: Configure whether to prioritize community curated lists and the GitHub Token (the Token is preferably stored in the browser’s localStorage and can be filled in via panel settings).
UI: Configure the automatic refresh interval, default list, and default time window.
Example configuration:
{
"榜单配置": {
"飙升榜": { "时间窗口": [7, 30, 90], "最小Star数": 0, "榜单长度": 50 },
"精选主题榜": { "主题列表": ["UI", "工具", "记忆", "工作流", "视觉", "多模态"], "每主题数量": 10 }
},
"数据源": {
"优先使用社区精选": true,
"GitHub Token": ""
},
"UI": { "自动刷新间隔": 3600, "默认榜单": "飙升榜", "默认时间窗口": 7 }
}
Development¶
To build it yourself, run:
npm install # 或 pnpm install
npm run build # esbuild 双产物(lib/index.js 宿主半体 + lib/client.js 浏览器半体)+ tsc 类型
Notes¶
- Zero dependencies: The plugin does not provide a server and has zero runtime dependencies (only React is a peer dependency). All data fetching is performed by the browser connecting directly to GitHub.
- Token management: The GitHub Token is stored only in the browser’s localStorage and is not uploaded to any server.
- Permission scope: Installation operations require the host side to support the
/api/dsh-weekly-hot/installendpoint, and it must be reachable only over loopback.
