Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture. This plugin is used to establish a connection between an Android phone and the DSH Host on a LAN, providing the ability to remotely control or access the Web interface.

Plugin Purpose

Name: w2112515/dsh-remote-host
Maintainer: w2112515
Function: It connects an Android phone as a DSH client. It establishes a secure connection through the Noise protocol and provides command execution, Admission control for prompts/stop words, and pairing settings.

Installation and Startup

Ensure that the official dsh 0.1.1-rc.2+ and Node.js are installed on the system.

  1. Clone the repository:
    git clone --branch v0.2.2 https://github.com/w2112515/dsh-remote-host.git
    cd dsh-remote-host
  1. Configure network binding:
    sh scripts/setup.sh --bind YOUR_PUBLIC_IP # 仅限局域网时,省略 --bind
  1. Start the service:
    sh scripts/start.sh
    node scripts/invite.mjs

Windows systems can use the PowerShell scripts:

.\scripts\setup.ps1 --bind YOUR_PUBLIC_IP
.\scripts\start.ps1

Typical Usage

  1. Generate pairing credentials: Run node scripts/invite.mjs on the Host machine. The system prints a dsh-remote:// URI and a terminal QR code.
  2. Pair on the phone: Sideload the corresponding APK (version 0.2.0) on the Android phone, then scan the URI or enter the eight-digit code to complete pairing.
  3. Access the settings page: When opening the browser settings page from another computer, you need to establish an SSH tunnel:
    ssh -L 3180:127.0.0.1:3180 HOST
Then visit `http://127.0.0.1:3180` -> **Settings** -> **Mobile access**.

Notes

  • Security restrictions: Do not expose the DSH Web interface under a public domain; never use --bind 0.0.0.0. For home machines, bind to a unicast IPv4 address or use LAN only.
  • Windows compatibility: The Windows build does not include the iroh binary, but LAN or public IPv4 binding is still available.
  • Pairing backup: The $DSH_HOME/remote-host-security.bin file generated after the first start must be backed up. If this file is lost, all phones must be re-paired.
  • Permissions: This plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Check the source code and license before installing it.

Conclusion

This plugin provides mobile access capability for the DSH ecosystem. See the GitHub repository for more details and source code.
