Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture and extends workflow capabilities through extensible components. dsh-coyote is a workflow plugin that connects to a DG-LAB Coyote electrical stimulation device. It provides a unified safety boundary for both model-side tool calls and web GUI controls, ensuring that all operations (including those by Agents and users) are constrained by soft limits, rate limits, and session cooldowns.

Feature Overview

The plugin mainly provides the following capabilities:

  • Eight model-side tools: Enables Agents to control the device, including status queries, pairing, disconnection, intensity settings, waveform play/stop, emergency stop, and waveform library management.
  • DSH-aligned web control panel: Provides a visual operation interface consistent with DSH’s overall UI style.
  • Automatic stimulation: Supports mapping DSH event streams (such as tool calls, errors, and turn endings) to constrained pulse stimulation.
  • Strict safety limits:
    • Soft limits: An intensity upper bound (0-200) maintained by both the Agent and the GUI.
    • Hard limits: The physical upper bound on the device or app.
    • Rate limits: Mechanisms that prevent disorderly or excessively rapid intensity increases.
    • Session cooldown: Prevents frequent re-pairing or abuse.
  • Waveform library: Includes 12 built-in waveform presets (such as breathing and heartbeat) and supports importing community .pulses JSON files.
  • Protocol support: Implements a WebSocket-based DG-LAB V3 protocol server and pairs with the official app via QR code.

Installation and Configuration

Installing the plugin requires DeepSeek Harness’s plugin management command.

After installation, the plugin automatically inserts configuration lines. The default configuration usually meets basic requirements. If adjustments are needed, you can modify the dsh-coyote configuration items in DSH’s configuration override file:

Usage Flow

After enabling the plugin and completing configuration, pair with and operate the device through DSH’s web GUI:

  1. At the bottom of the sidebar in the DSH web interface, click the Coyote button to open the control panel.
  2. Click the Start Pairing button on the panel to generate a QR code.
  3. Use the DG-LAB App on your phone to scan the QR code and complete device connection.
  4. After successful pairing, both the web panel and Agent tools can control the device, and all operations are subject to the same safety limits.

Notes

  • Adult content (18+): This plugin controls a real electrical stimulation power box and carries physical risks. Before use, carefully read and understand the safety instructions.
  • Environment dependency: The plugin requires Node.js version >= 22.
  • Permissions and security: All operations, including GUI operations, are subject to safety limits. Soft limits, rate limits, session cooldowns, and other security mechanisms cannot be bypassed through the Agent or frontend interface. It is recommended to review the plugin source code and license before use.
