Introduction¶
The design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” In ultra-long conversation scenarios, quickly locating historical queries is a common requirement in agent development. dsh-query-jump is a lightweight plugin provided by community developer SocFeng, designed to solve the problem of finding specific queries in long sessions.
It draws a pale short horizontal line on the right edge of the conversation area, displays a list of historical queries through hover interaction, and provides smooth scrolling to the target position.
Core Features¶
- Only real user queries are included: The list contains only queries sent by users, with dates and times, and does not include injected messages or tool events.
- Smooth jumping: Clicking an item scrolls the page smoothly to the corresponding conversation bubble.
- Current position highlight: The current item is highlighted with a raised style.
- Subtle track design: It normally occupies almost no visual space; the list expands only on mouse hover.
- Custom prefix: Supports custom list prefixes, such as symbols or numbering.
- Settings integration: Provides a complete configuration interface.
- Historical query sync: After installation, the plugin attempts to backfill historical queries that were not recorded before installation from session logs.
- Session deletion: Provides an entry for permanently deleting a session (toggleable in settings), supplementing a capability not exposed by the official product.
- Cache synchronization: When deleting a session, deleting a workspace, or performing a fork operation, the cache is automatically aligned.
- Persistence: After restarting the WebUI or updating the plugin, the list state is usually retained.
Installation¶
Use the following command to install the plugin via DSH CLI:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:SocFeng/dsh-query-jump
After installation, it is recommended to restart the dsh web process and perform a hard refresh in the browser (Ctrl + F5) to load the latest resources.
Usage¶
- Open any session and observe the pale short horizontal line on the right edge of the conversation area.
- Move the mouse to the line area; the list automatically expands and displays historical queries in the session.
- Click an item; the page scrolls smoothly to the corresponding query bubble.
- After clicking, the list remains expanded; it collapses automatically when the mouse moves away.
Configuration¶
Go to Settings -> Plugins -> Query Jump in DSH WebUI to configure.
Available options include:
- Enable panel: Master switch.
- Sync historical queries: Whether to backfill unrecorded queries along the timeline.
- Show delete session: Controls the display of the trash bin icon in the title bar and the delete entry in the sidebar.
- Custom symbol / number: Sets the list prefix style.
- Symbol content: Up to 8 characters; default is 🤗.
Configuration can also be written to the profile file:
config:
enable: true
markerStyle: emoji
markerSymbol: "🤗"
syncHistoricalQueries: true
showDeleteSession: true
Applicable Scenarios and Cautions¶
This plugin is suitable for agent development scenarios that require frequent context tracing in ultra-long conversations.
Please note the following:
- It is recommended to access the WebUI via local 127.0.0.1.
- When encountering a very early historical query, the system first automatically loads earlier content; wait a moment.
- If a WARN message for peer dependencies appears during installation, it can usually be ignored.
- The plugin does not include injected messages or tool events.
- It can coexist with other plugins (such as Trajectory).
Conclusion¶
dsh-query-jump solves the navigation pain point in long conversations through a minimalist right-edge track design. For developers accustomed to multi-turn debugging in DSH, this is a practical efficiency tool.
